You can't get through the winter season without reading this one! My students enjoyed this one and got such a kick out of the animals squeezing into one mitten. There are several activities we did with this book. We enjoyed the retell probably the most. Here are my students lined up for the class retell.
This unit is small but has some goodies in it. I put several options for this mitten part for different abilities of your students. If they are unsure of the order of the animals I had them go back to the book for their answers.
This unit also covers ordinal numbers, patterns, counting, short and long vowel, and rhyming.
