Pete and all the turkeys of Squawk Valley outsmart the townspeople in this humorous book. The illustrations are bright and interesting. The text rhymes making it a delight to read. Bateman uses a variety of vocabulary allowing the teacher to model what good readers do when they come to a word they do not know. I created some resources to go along with this book.
